Hi all, this weekend was a very good one.
From a health perspective and a creative one as well. Please check out my two new items in my art area. Once is a painting I made for my son, I used Acrylic paint, and the other I used chalk pencils on canvas. I learned that using chalk on canvas, really isn't an awesome idea. Besides it being very messy, it just didn't get that dark. I would have liked the eyes to have been darker shading. Before I spray and finish it, I may think about either coloring it in, with colored pencil or colored chalk..or I may just leave it black and white. What are you thoughts? With the Boat inspiration, my son asked for primary colors, and I was excited to begin using a =16x17 inch 1/2 thin sized canvas, it can be framed, which will come next. It was so much easier to work with, then the canvases that are on inch thick wood blocks. But it was HUGE, and I found myself having to keep turning the painting to be able to reach it. I don't have an art studio, I either work at my kitchen counter/table or when drawing I sometimes sit in my recliner. So while painting, I was either standing over the painting or sitting...either way I was getting major back aches. lol I must come up with a better way or I will turn into a crunched over old lady eventually. not good. lol thanks for visiting. Have a great day!
